When I initially wrote The First Queen of Nore, I wished to tell a story of self-discovery, courage, love, and destiny that revealed how one woman’s choices could shape a kingdom and a legacy. What began as a prequel grew into something more personal: an exploration of purpose, strength in the face of loss, and the enduring hope that drives us to build something greater than ourselves.

The First Queen of Nore is a prequel to The Princess Guardian of the Secret. It is the amazing tale of the original kingdom and how it was split into the two rival kingdoms depicted in the first book.
This is the story of how that splitting was done and how love saved the lives of almost everyone.
A young princess’s destiny isn’t what she thought it would be. On a life-changing journey, she discovers that she is meant to be so much more than just a queen, and that gives her the courage to save her kingdom and follow her dream.
ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Stephen DesBrisay was born in Hollywood, California, and grew up in Manhattan Beach and Newport Beach, California. He worked as an audio engineer, music producer, and grip and electrician on movies and commercials in Los Angeles. He also produced his own films for corporate and non-profit companies and acted as an executive producer on various project teams.
Stephen moved to Austin, Texas, and then to Houston, where he now lives with his wife and works as a part-time consultant helping clients with their entertainment projects. He continues to write and is also developing his book projects for film adaptation.
Stephen has always had a way with words, mostly through lyric writing and poetry, as well as copy for various projects. His gift of storytelling and creative mind eventually resulted in the amazing story in his first book, THE PRINCESS Guardian of the Secret, published in 2020.
His second book, The First Queen of Nore, was published in August 2023. And Stephen is now working on this third book of his planned trilogy.
When he is not enjoying time with family, writing, or working on his entertainment projects, Stephen’s soul leads him to the water and surfing.
